The top (or kurta or kameez) is cotton, woven with 80s count cotton yarn in the warp and weft. The fabric is soft and, when tailored, falls gracefully well. The top has a zari border. The top does not require lining. The top is 2.50 metres long and 44" inches wide.
The bottom (or salwar) is also hand woven cotton woven with 60s count cotton yarn in the warp and 40s count cotton yarn in the weft (60 x 40). The 60 x 40 fabric is thicker and coarser than the top. The salwar is 2 metres long and 44 inches wide.
The dupatta or chunni is also hand woven. The fabric woven with 'missing checks' which makes the fabric light and airy. The dupatta is 2.50 metres long and 36 inches wide.
